Privacy Policy
1. Introduction & Overview
Welcome to Number Boxes: Logic Puzzle ("the Application", "our Game"), developed and published by Neurostack Technologies ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy document governs your use of the mobile application distributed across the Google Play Store under package identifier com.neurostackos.numberboxes and our companion web presence located at https://numberboxes.neurostackos.com.
We believe that digital games should be sanctuaries of mental focus, relaxation, and intellect—not conduits for behavioral surveillance, telemetry farming, or commercial data brokering. This policy articulates our technical architecture, our strict zero-data-collection posture, how local on-device preferences function, and the role of certified third-party platform services (such as Google Mobile Ads and Google Play In-App Billing).
By downloading, installing, accessing, or playing Number Boxes, you acknowledge the terms detailed within this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these principles, please uninstall the Application from your device.
2. Our Fundamental Zero-Data-Collection Principle
Neurostack Technologies operates under an uncompromising principle of data minimization and privacy-by-design. We have deliberately architected Number Boxes so that our servers never receive, store, or process any identifiable personal information from our players.
Specifically, Neurostack Technologies does NOT collect, request, access, or store any of the following:
- Personal Identifiers: We do not collect your real name, alias, postal address, physical address, email address, telephone number, or government-issued identification numbers.
- Account Credentials: There are no mandatory sign-ups, passwords, social media logins (such as Facebook or Google Sign-In), or user account databases. You play anonymously from the moment you open the app.
- Precise Geolocation Data: We do not request, access, or log GPS coordinates, Wi-Fi triangulation data, or cellular tower location details.
- Biometric & Sensor Information: We do not access facial geometry, fingerprint sensors, camera feeds, microphone audio, or environmental sensors.
- Device Content & Personal Files: We do not read, access, or scan your photo gallery, media library, address book, contact lists, calendar events, or local documents.
- Behavioral Telemetry & Tracking Profiles: We do not run third-party user analytics platforms (such as Firebase Analytics, Adjust, AppsFlyer, or Mixpanel) to construct commercial behavioral profiles or monitor your app usage habits.
3. Local On-Device Storage & Game State
To deliver a seamless offline-capable puzzle experience, Number Boxes saves certain non-identifiable game mechanics locally on your device's private sandbox storage using Android's native SharedPreferences system.
The information stored locally on your device consists exclusively of:
- Level Progression: The highest level you have unlocked in the Journey mode and your star ratings (1, 2, or 3 stars) for completed boards.
- Virtual Economy Balances: Your current in-game gold coin balance, remaining hint booster inventory count, and remaining undo booster inventory count.
- Aesthetic Customizations: Your currently equipped theme palette (e.g., Neo Arcade, Cyberpunk 2099, Emerald Zen) and the unlock status of purchased theme skins.
- Player Preferences: Your preferred audio toggles (sound effects enabled/disabled, ambient zen music enabled/disabled), tactile haptic feedback toggles, and notification reminder preference.
- Daily Challenge Timestamps: Local timestamps indicating whether the Daily 10×10 Zen Challenge or daily gift chest has been claimed for the current calendar date.
Complete Local Ownership: This data never leaves your device. It is never synced to external cloud databases owned by Neurostack Technologies. You maintain 100% control over this data. If you clear the application data in your Android system settings or uninstall the game, this local data is permanently wiped from your device.
4. Third-Party Services & Technical Disclosures
While Neurostack Technologies does not collect personal data, the Application incorporates verified Google mobile software development kits (SDKs) to facilitate standardized platform functionality, specifically Google AdMob for in-game advertisements and Google Play Billing for optional micro-transactions.
A. Google AdMob (Google LLC)
Number Boxes displays non-intrusive banner advertisements, periodic interstitial progression transitions, and opt-in rewarded videos through Google AdMob. To serve advertisements, Google's SDK may automatically receive standard technical telemetry from your operating system, including:
- Your device's IP address (primarily used by Google for coarse city-level geographic ad routing and fraud detection).
- Device hardware specifications (such as screen resolution, device model, operating system version, and system language).
- The Google Advertising ID (GAID), which allows advertising networks to manage ad frequency capping and prevent duplicate impressions.
You can inspect, reset, or completely delete your Advertising ID at any time directly through your Android device settings under Settings → Google → Ads → Delete Advertising ID. For complete details regarding Google's processing of ad data, please review the Google Advertising Privacy & Terms.
B. Google Play In-App Billing (Google LLC)
Number Boxes offers optional virtual currency bundles (gold coins) that players may acquire using real currency through Google Play In-App Billing.
All financial transactions are handled exclusively by Google Payment Services. Neurostack Technologies does not collect, receive, process, or store credit card numbers, debit card numbers, billing addresses, PayPal accounts, or bank routing credentials. Google validates the purchase and notifies the Application solely of a successful transaction token so that the corresponding virtual coins can be credited to your local inventory.
5. Children's Online Privacy Protection (COPPA & Family Policy Compliance)
Protecting the safety, wellbeing, and digital privacy of young players is of paramount importance to us. Number Boxes is designed as a family-friendly educational spatial logic game suitable for audiences of all ages (rated Everyone / PEGI 3).
In accordance with the United States Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the Google Play Families Policy:
- We do not knowingly collect, harvest, solicit, or retain any personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under the age of 16 in applicable European jurisdictions).
- The game features zero open social networks, zero user profiles, zero unmoderated chat channels, and zero player-to-player messaging systems.
- All puzzles, controls, and gameplay mechanics are self-contained, offline-compatible, and free from user-generated content.
If a parent or legal guardian discovers or believes that their child has inadvertently transmitted personal information to us through customer support correspondence, please contact us immediately at privacy@neurostackos.com. We will promptly delete such communications from our support records.
6. European Privacy Rights (GDPR & UK Data Protection Act)
For players residing in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) guarantees specific fundamental rights regarding personal data. Because Neurostack Technologies does not collect, control, or process your personal data on external servers, our compliance model is rooted in total data avoidance:
- Right of Access & Portability: All of your game state data resides directly on your device inside your local file system.
- Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten"): You can erase 100% of your game data and history at any instant by clearing the application storage in Android Settings or by uninstalling the application. No residual data exists on our servers.
- Right to Restriction & Objection: You have the absolute right to play completely offline without network connections, ensuring zero external data exchange takes place.
- Right to Withdraw Consent: Where advertising identifiers are processed by Google AdMob, you may withdraw consent or disable personalized advertising at any time via Android system settings or Google ad preference controls.
7. California Consumer Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)
The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), provides California residents with specific statutory rights regarding personal data:
- We Do Not Sell Your Personal Information: Neurostack Technologies has never sold, rented, leased, or disclosed player personal information to third parties for monetary or other commercial consideration, and will never do so in the future.
- We Do Not Share for Cross-Context Behavioral Advertising: We do not share personal information with third-party data brokers or marketing aggregators.
- Right to Know & Delete: California residents have the right to request deletion of their personal information. Because we store zero personal information on remote servers, players can accomplish complete deletion directly on their devices by clearing app storage.
- Non-Discrimination: We will never discriminate against any player, alter game difficulty, or deny functionality because they exercise their statutory privacy rights.
8. Information Security & Technical Safeguards
The most robust security safeguard against data breaches is not collecting data in the first place. By storing game progress strictly within Android's sandboxed application container, your puzzle progress is isolated from other applications on your device. We do not maintain internet-facing databases of user records, eliminating the risk of centralized data breaches, unauthorized credential leaks, or external server hacks.
9. External Links & Websites
The Application and our website may contain links to external third-party websites or services (for instance, the Google Play Store or developer documentation). We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or data collection policies of external third-party sites. We encourage players to review the privacy documentation of any external service they visit.
10. Changes & Updates to This Privacy Policy
We may update or revise this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect technological improvements, updates to Google Play Store policies, or statutory regulatory requirements. Whenever changes are made, the "Effective Date" at the top of this document will be updated accordingly.
Because we do not store player contact information or email addresses, we cannot send individual notification emails regarding policy revisions. We encourage players to review this page periodically at https://numberboxes.neurostackos.com/privacy to remain informed of our privacy protections.
